WHAT IS PROJECT STELLAR?

BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE! We don't have enough computers or space in the lab to give everyone access. Plus you'll be less restricted :D

Project Stellar is a 24-hour hackathon for high school students across the Lower Mainland, running June 5–6, 2026 at the Multipurpose Room in Moscrop Secondary School in Burnaby. Show up Friday after school at 4:30 PM with a laptop and an idea — either solo or in a team of up to four.

Roughly half the room will be at their first hackathon, so it's fine if you've never built anything before. Mentors who actually ship software will be around the whole event, workshops cover the basics on Saturday afternoon, and there's a quiet room if you want to use it.

Free to attend. Free food (yes, free). BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE! $2,000+ prize pool split across the top projects. Submissions are due Saturday at 4:30 PM, with judging shortly after.
